Empowering Women Through Community & Visibility

District 26 Collective is a curated platform spotlighting women-owned businesses, fostering authentic relationships, and creating opportunities that help women entrepreneurs grow with confidence, purpose, and community support.

Founder's Story

Hi, I’m Ambie Douglas, founder of District 26 Collective.

As a business owner myself, I’ve seen how difficult it can be for women entrepreneurs to gain visibility, find the right connections, and get their businesses in front of the right audience. I wanted to create more than just a directory - I wanted to build a community where women-owned businesses could be discovered, supported, and celebrated.

That’s why I created District 26 Collective. What started as an idea has grown into a platform that includes a business directory, event hub, resources, and community opportunities designed to help women entrepreneurs grow.

I also host Morning Collective with Ambie D, where I share business encouragement, visibility tips, and honest conversations about entrepreneurship. It’s one more way I hope to support and connect with women who are building something meaningful.

My vision is to create a space where women-owned businesses across Texas and beyond can connect, collaborate, and thrive together.

About Us

District 26 Collective was created with one simple belief:
women in business deserve to be seen, supported, and celebrated.

We’re a Texas-based community and curated directory built to spotlight women-owned businesses—whether you’re launching something new, rebuilding after a setback, or finally stepping into the purpose that’s been tugging at you for years.

Our mission is to give women visibility, connection, and opportunities that last. We do this through our online directory, in-person events, vendor opportunities, and—coming soon—our physical creative hub where women can meet, work, and grow together.

District 26 Collective isn’t just a listing.
It’s a movement built with intention, faith, and good old-fashioned community.

Why We Exist

Business growth resources for female founders and entrepreneurs

For too long, so many talented women have been running powerful businesses in silence—no exposure, no support, no community cheerleaders in their corner.

District 26 Collective changes that.

We highlight women who are building something meaningful and give them:

  • A place to showcase their business

  • A network of like-minded women

  • A directory that customers can trust

  • Real connections, not just likes and follows

  • Opportunities to be featured online and offline

Whether you’re in Houston, Austin, Dallas, or a small Texas town off the map, there’s a seat for you here.

Our Vision

District 26 Collective is growing into a statewide resource and, eventually, a nationwide network.

Our future vision includes:

  • A physical District 26 Headquarters

  • A feature wall (“The Collective Wall”) showcasing women-owned brands

  • Coworking space and creative pods

  • Photography and content studios

  • Local mixers, workshops, and business events

  • Expansion of the directory into additional states

We’re building something long-lasting—brick by brick, woman by woman.
